Please post what you think about the update/map pack. The increase to 12 players is cool. I have held off on getting GRAW becuase of some of the limitations in the original release version.
I am giving the America's Army: SF v2.7 that was released recently with COOP support a try. I will post feedback on that in another thread.

I'm pretty much convinced GRAW is not that great. I loved the original, and as some of you know, made some fairly popular mods for it.
From the beginning I though the "feel" of GRAW was lousy. Not crisp and clean, but jerky. I never feel in "total" control of my guy. There is neat stuff in there, but the game seems flawed to me. It's a huge resource pig, using almost 100% of your CPU. People are having problems running Ventrilo with it because there's nothing left from the CPU to give it. And yet the designers put animations of trash (cans, bottles etc) that you can kick down the street. What a waste of resources for game that is such a system hog.
I have installed the new patch on a dedicated rig, so if anyone would like to give it a try, we can give it a shot. But unless they tighten it up with more patches, I may move on.

Hey Mac!
Around February I started martial arts again, so I have a few less nights to play. I got so into points and ranks in BF2, that I thought I'd go for some real ranks! Plus I was getting a bit burned out on BF2 anyway. Also it just seems when I can play, nobody's online. Oh, and deer archery season in on now too.
I do intend to get online more though. I'm hoping Rainbow Six Las Vegas will be what I had hoped Lockdown was. It sounds promising. I have AA 2.7 and PoE mod, so I can play those to.
I'll try to get up this weekend for GRAW...See you soon!

I bought graw yesterday. I am having a problem with the gameplay being very choppy in single player mode. What would cause that? I haven't played multiplaye yet.
Also, what updates/patches are available? Could someone post them for me in the order that I should get them...thanks!!

Do you have at least 1 gb of mem and a fast card? That could be some chop...check the forums also...
Well the new patch is all downloaded and installed and I'm ready to kick some ass. Lets get movin on this GR? Any one of them is ok with me. I'm havin trouble with the Mods because they won't load. I have them on a CD but they just won't load for some reason. (operator error?)

I have a dual core hp media center at 2.8ghz each. I have 2gb ram, 250gb hd, my graphics card is an nvidia 6200se turbo cache...not sure what else you'd need. I tried updating my drivers; I did an msconfig and got rid of all startup crap to see if it would play that way...no luck with fixing choppiness. I'm guessing it may be my graphics card. As well, would it make a difference if I haven't downloaded any patches yet? I haven't downloaded any patches yet and I've only been playing "campaign" mode.

Well, I downloaded all patches/updates and am still having the same problem. I'm still assuming that even though my graphics card meets minimum requirements, I may still require an upgrade. I'm thinking of trying a reinstall of the game first to see if that helps.

Well, I got it running...took a bit of troubleshooting with the folks at Ubisoft. I had to revert back to a previous driver update.

Post what ya think about it now that you got it rolling. I was disappointed to hear some of the feedback about COOP, how if the squad leader dies the mission is over. For you guys that have connected via Hamachi...has it been more fun lately?

They patched that squad leader dying thing to a Co-op server option in October. Still it is only 4 man Co-op. The last patch was 1.3. Here is link to that changelog.
